is a ministry of counseling, healing, and teaching directed by William P. Wilson, M.D., Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at Duke University and currently Distinguished Professor of Counseling at Carolina Evangelical Divinity School.

Dr. Wilson retired from seeing patients on July 1, 2007 at 85 years of age.  He continues to teach and write.  If you wish to receive Dr. Wilson's e-newsletter, e-mail us and put NEWSLETTER in the subject field.

Medical students, residents, and other practitioners have received tutoring through the institute on how to integrate their faith into their practice. Conferences are scheduled for a wider audience on a variety of subjects important to Christians in healing ministries. These conferences, featuring a faculty of experts, are audio and video taped, and copies are available. Audio and video tapes of Dr. Wilson and other practitioners teaching singly are also available. Dr. Wilson is available on a limited basis for lectures and seminars on subjects related to Christian counseling.

Christianity in Medicine
PURPOSE:  Medicine as we know it today has had its greatest growth in the Christian world. Our search for knowledge though, has caused us to increasingly ignore the metaphysical. In an effort to apply a corrective, we have established a program for the study of Christianity in Medicine. Its purpose is to provide all people, physicians and laymen alike, a better understanding of how a strong faith can be utilized to bring about healing, to facilitate healing, or to help one deal with their disease. Tapes by Dr. William P. Wilson and other outstanding physicians are now available to help increase the understanding of Christianity in Medicine.

Introduction: God's healing power is available to all who wish to claim it. By His grace He provides this through physicians and other professionals. To use His power to the utmost, it is necessary that the Christian physician, as well as the patient, be able to communicate their needs to God so He may provide them His store of riches. We have, therefore, prepared tapes which outline the process of healing, the mechanisms God has given us to bring about healing, and the psychological techniques that can be applied by both the healer and the one being healed.

ICG Seminars
Intermittently we offer conferences and seminars designed to meet the needs of mental health professionals, pastors, and lay persons.   These presentations are designed not only to instruct those wishing to acquire new knowledge, but also those who wish to increase their knowledge in specific areas.
